Terms of Service

hese terms apply when you book with or use the services of Artemis Apotheca, operated by Samantha Hardes-Ackerman, BHSc (Naturopathy), ABN 21 698 865 209. By booking a consultation, package or Connect call, you agree to them.

Bookings

Consultations can be booked online through our booking system, or by contacting us directly. Consultations are offered in person at Soul Pins, 20 Shirley Street, Byron Bay and online via telehealth.

The free 15-minute Connect call is an introductory conversation only. It is not a consultation, and no health advice or prescriptions are given.

Payments

Consultation fees are payable at the time of booking or at the end of your consultation. Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

Payment can be made by card, processed securely through Stripe, or by bank transfer. We do not store your card details.

Herbal and nutraceutical prescriptions are ordered through online practitioner dispensaries, vita.ly or Dispensary & Co, and invoiced separately.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Life happens, and we understand. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice.

Changes made between 48 and 24 hours before your appointment incur a fee of 50% of the consultation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours, and missed appointments, are charged the full consultation fee.

Consultation fees are non-refundable once a consultation has taken place, and functional testing is non-refundable once ordered.

We will always give you as much notice as possible if we need to reschedule.

Packages

Packages are paid upfront or by the payment plan offered at the time of booking. Package consultations should be used within 3 months of your first appointment.

Packages are non-refundable. Where a package includes functional testing, the test cost is non-refundable once the test has been ordered. If you're unable to complete your package, unused consultations can be kept as credit toward future consultations or transferred to someone else.

Telehealth

Online consultations are held through Cliniko's secure telehealth platform. Please join from a private space with a stable internet connection. If the connection fails, we will reconnect or reschedule at no cost.

Scope of care

Naturopathy is a complementary therapy. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or emergency care. Please continue to see your GP or medical specialists, and do not stop or change any prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor.

Where your needs fall outside naturopathic scope, we will refer you to an appropriate health professional.

Artemis Apotheca is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or need urgent medical help, call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Your responsibilities

Please share complete and accurate information about your health, medications, supplements and any pregnancy or breastfeeding. This helps us care for you safely. Let us know if anything changes during your care.

Results

Every body responds differently. While we work closely with you toward your health goals, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

Communication between consultations

Brief questions about your treatment plan can be sent by email. More detailed concerns may need a follow-up or In-between Moments consultation.

The content on this website and our social media is general information only. It is not personal health advice and should not replace a consultation.

All website content, including text, images and branding, belongs to Artemis Apotheca and may not be reused without permission.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Artemis Apotheca is not liable for any indirect loss arising from the use of our services or website. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
